Wells Cathedral

Wells Cathedral
Construction of Wells cathedral began over 1,000 years ago. It was more or less complete by the mid 13th century although there have been extensions and renovations since.

The West front, which you see here, has around 300 medieval statues. There were over 500 originally and they were gilded and painted.
