Minehead Harbour
Whilst the coastal town of Minehead is mostly associated with the Butlins resort its history as a harbour town goes back to the 14th century at least.

Heavily effected by silting the harbour came under the care of the Luttrell family in the 17th century and was much improved allowing trade to grow.

Being located on the Bristol Channel the harbour at the mercy of big tides but is also within striking distance of Bristol and Wales
