We offer comfortable, characterful accommodation in a Somerset longhouse. We are situated in a quiet location on the edge of a village one mile north of the A303. There is a pub. with restaurant and village shop within walking distance. Four National Trust properties are only twenty minutes drive away and Yeovil, Wells, Bath and Sherborne are nearby. The Jurassic coast is an hours drive.

Directions

Directions to Brook Cottage from the east From Wincanton take the A303 westwards. Exit at the turning signed ‘Sparkford village and North Cadbury’. Turn left after the slip road, go down to the junction, drive through the village and as you start to leave, in a dip, turn right opposite two cream painted cottages. It is signed ’Brookhampton’ and is a no through road. Pass two cottages on the right, then past a large house ‘end on’ to the lane and turn into the drive just past this house. Directions to Brook Cottage from Bristol Take the Wells Road (A37) south, past Temple Meads Station. Keep on the A37 all the way to Shepton Mallet. At the second roundabout to the south of Shepton Mallet, take the A371 to Castle Cary. Follow signs in to the centre of Castle Cary, then follow signs to Yeovil. At the next major ‘T’ junction, turn right onto the A359 to Yeovil. Pass through the outskirts of the village of Galhampton and about two miles further there is a turn to the left signed ‘North Cadbury’, ‘South Cadbury’. Take this turn. There is a sharp left bend and sharp right bend Keep on this lane and drop down to the valley bottom where there is a turn to the left, on the left bend, signed ‘Brookhampton’. The house is the third on the left (after two semi detached stone cottages). Go just past the house which is end on to the lane. The drive is immediately on your right at the sign ‘Brook Cottage’.
