The Gables is a beautiful chocolate box 17th century thatched house set in tranquil flower- filled country gardens just a a short walk away from the wide open vistas of Exmoor.
The house nestles in the heart of the village offering our guests peace and quiet, yet just a minutes walk to the high street with its unique local shops, pubs, restaurants, museums and galleries.
The Gables is perfectly situated for walking on Exmoor and the coastal paths, relaxing on one of our nearby beaches or exploring the magnificent Somerset and Devon countryside. There are numerous National Trust and historic properties to visit and to end your day you can relax in the cottage gardens or enjoy one of our guest lounges.The summer lounge opens out onto the cottage gardens with books, DVD`s and games and freeview TV for you to enjoy and the winter lounge offers an open log fire with HD plasma sky TV.
Breakfast is served in our breakfast room overlooking the courtyard garden where we offer a choice of fresh fruit, juices, cereals and a full English breakfast (made with locally sourced fresh produce)where possible or a continental
