The Oakhouse stands proudly in the centre of the medieval town of Axbridge in the heart of rural Somerset just one and a half miles from Cheddar and it's famous gorge. The hotel is just a short drive from Bristol International Airport.

Parts of the Oakhouse date back to the 11th Century. Features include an ancient well, said to be linked to Cheddar gorge, and a large inglenook fire in the residents bar.
